PCC was a wonderful place. I'd go back in a minute if I could. Never before had I been in a place that helped me to grow spiritually. Rules were not a problem, and shouldn't be if you have the right attitude. The Bible is the ultimate "Rule Book", and a true Christian would want to do what God says, according to His Word. The rules are set in place because the administration cares about the students' souls. Ultimately, what's done for Christ is what lasts. Every institution has a set of guidelines, and they have to be across the board to keep order. Go with the right attitude and you will do fine. The other students were like any other group of people in the world. Some are rude, some friendly, some phony, some truly sincere, some funny, some serious, some snobby, some poor, some rich--that's life, that's America. Christians are not perfect, just forgiven. When you apply to PCC, ask yourself why you want to go there. If you want a good education with lasting moral and spiritual results, go to PCC. If you want to goof off, waste your money (or your parents'), party, and live a life of devoid of propriety, basically I mean indulge in a life of sin, then go somewhere else. Don't attend this first-rate Christian college if you are not a Christian. It was instituted as a place where Christian young people could go and get a Christian, Bible-based education. Read the promo literature you receive. It does say "Christian" college the last time I checked. I am grateful for the time I spent there. I didn't like all my teachers (which is perfectly normal), but there were so many who were top-notch (Dr. Chapman, Chris Brennemann, Mrs. Rickard, Coach Hazewinkel, Dr. Bere, Dr. Mullinex, Dr. Crawford, Ray Gibbs, Dr. Jaffe'). I learned about Fine Arts and music appreciation, and most of all I learned about excellence. So if you want a well-rounded, quality, academically sound, and Christian, Bible-based education, attend this college. Pray about it and let the Lord take care of the details.
