Whenever anyone asks me how I like Georgetown I also say that it's great because I figure that is what the average Georgetown student would say. Honestly, I do like Georgetown, but I wish my freshman year had gone differently. There are a lot of activities on campus, and DC and the rest of Georgetown are just a walk away. If you don't take the initiative to make friends and enjoy college, college won't be fun. There are only 6,000 or so students and cliques form pretty quickly so if you don't establish yourself early on, you might lose your chance. Everyone says there aren't frats or sororities, but there might as well be, social life wise. Night life seems to consist mainly of lots of drunk people in small areas. Unless you find some good friends, it might be hard to really have fun. Classes are pretty good, and the professors are usually helpful, and always there for you. DC is the best place to go to college, no matter what your interest- there are ton of internship/job opportunities. Before coming to Georgetown I thought the student would be a bit on the snooty, trendy side and it turns out a lot them are, BUT a lot of them aren't. As with any place, when you find your niche, you'll find fun.
