Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
UM offers a vast academic menu plus cocurricular opportunities abound and are easy to get involved in outside of class. I've experienced excellent academic advising and guidance. Professors and teaching assistants are very approachable. UM College Park Honors Program is listed among the top nine honors programs at state universitities in the nation. The program offers students the personal attention and class size of a small college and the diversity and opportunity of a large research university. Also, the scholars living/learning program is being used as a model for other programs throughout the county. The average SAT score of entering Honors students is over 1400; the average GPA is 4.1. There are 700 students in each entering Honors class, which is about the entering class size at John Hopkins University. Being an Honors student is a privilege and a challenge. We are not considered geeks. The food is okay with lots of variety. If you're not into sports, there's always a couple plays, shows, etc., to choose from on the weekends--at reduced student prices.
