diamonds rings for cheap and research. It contrasts this with larger departments emphasizing grades. The critique of the university's emphasis on appearances, sports, dorms, and dining, particularly for vegetarians, offers a well-rounded assessment of the campus experience.' color='color=#2B9C39' > |

I love the physics department. The rest of the campus is so-so. Other big departments (engineering, comp sci) seem so obsessed with grades, whereas physics (only 180 majors) seems to care about learning and getting undergraduates involved with research. The university as a whole seems to care more about the appearances (of the campus and of the student body and its achievements) and sports (which I do think are important just not as much as this campus makes them out to be) than with the students specifically. Plus, the dorms here are not great, and eating in the dining hall is terrible if you happen to be a vegetarian or are just picky.
