Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
What makes Pace overall worthwhile for me, a psychology major, is being in the honors college. If it weren't for the advantages of being an honors student, I would probably consider transferring to a school that has a stronger liberal arts program. Pace is primarily a business school, well known for the Lubin School of Business, but the administration needs to focus on strengthening the Dyson School of Arts & Sciences in order to become a higher ranking university. However, taking honors courses at Pace has been a great experience for me. The professors are carefully selected to teach challenging courses. Honors students also get first picks at courses during registration, which almost guarantees getting into any class the university offers. That, by far, is my favorite perk. I have had very intelligent, passionate, and helpful professors both in my core classes and my major. If you're a prospective business major, you are definitely looking at the right university. If you're eligible for the honors program and your financial aid package is fairly high, then Pace is worthwhile. If your major is education, psychology, sociology, history, biology/chemistry, et al, then Pace is an "OK" school to be, but maybe not the greatest. Pace does, however, have an excellent array of clubs and activities to get involved in, and campus activities are frequently held (though some activities are victim to a low turnout rate and some just suck altogether). I have heard great things about the co-op program but have never tried it myself. In short, it all depends on how affordable the education is compared to your financial situation, the area of concentration you'd like to focus your studies on, whether or not you are eligible for honors (contact the school for more info), and if being in new york city is an important factor in deciding where to go to college. I, myself, also considered New School University and NYU, but my financial aid package at Pace was the best. I will, however, consider either New School, NYU, or Rutgers (New Brunswick, NJ) as viable choices for grad school to continue my education in psychology. Best of luck, whatever you choose to do(!)
