Kent State is a wonderful University for those students that want to attend a large university with a "small town" atmosphere. Academics are excellent in certain areas an average in others. The Architecture, Pre-Med, Nursing, and Graphic Desing are especially strong programs that are well-known and respectable. If you are looking for an exciting "party-life" then Kent probably isnt the place for you... however there is always something to do, or somewhere to go. Yet, it is not comparable to Ohio State party life, but for some students that is a good thing. My best advice is if you are looking into Kent, of course come and visit the campus, but also try to arrange an over-night visit. It'll give you a better idea of the social life.
