Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
If you find a niche in your major, you can get a great education and make friends within your department. Otherwise the social scene at UVM is lame. I tried joining several clubs, but the members were cliquish and aloof. If you don't like to drink or smoke pot there isn't much to do on campus..and usually Freshman/Soph year students don't have cars to get out and ski. If you don't ski, don't expect the University to give you options during the long winters. I think that President Fogel will make some great changes that this school needs to bring it back to the highly-respected University it was in the late '80's. The majority of the professors at UVM are friendly and brilliant..so if you know what you want to major in, have a car, and ski, you'll be fine. On a positive note, my UVM education did prepare me for an ivy league graduate program.
