This started out being my second-choice school in-state. I was rejected by my first choice, so I thought I'd come to Asheville and transfer. But, after being here a little over a year... I'm staying! Especially when I hear the experiences of friends at the state's "flagship" university - I feel like I'm getting an incredible education, and I know I'll probably get a chance for undergrad research opportunities, too. Prof's really care about your education and are very available to help. My friends are incredibly stressed, feeling like the "other" university is trying to weed them out. One even dropped out. So... my "second-choice" school was an incredibly lucky break - I'm very happy here.
