Date: Dec 26 2004 Major: (This Major's Salary over time) Georgetown was completely useless while I was there and now is completely useless in getting a job. The career services dept was atrocious, they were actually counter productive in that they led me to believe that they might be of some help. No one I knew at Georgetown got a job b/c o their time there, theirs were all due to personal connections. The people who did get jobs b/c of their education background (i.e. accounting majors who then got accounting jobs, obv) didn't get very good ones, I wasn't impressed with anyone at all. Georgetown was a disappointment from day one. Friends who went to "worse schools" have thus far been significantly more successful. Also, while other schools have shining multi million dollar temples devoted to alumni in various cities and clubs arond the world, Georetown is JUST getting around to refurbishing a delapidated house in the ghetto disrict. Unfortunatley the fools who I attended school with are now my fellow alumni, providing for VERY limited networking options. The only satisfaction I now get from having gone their is turning them down then they ask for money. don't waste your time or your money in that chasm of metiocrity.
