Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I attended UH for my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. I loved my time there. I made a number of friends that I will remember always. They are now all over the world.....getting graduate degrees, working in the oil industry (Exxon, BP, Shell, Halliburton etc)....NASA / JSC... etc. It is a commuter school, though if someone wants to "get involved" there are certainly many activities one can participate in. The engineering school is challenging, but fair. I believe it is just as good, if not better than UT or A&M. UT and A&M often have graduate students teaching the fundamental classes. At UH engineering, all classes are taught by PhD professors. The UH MECE graduates I know, are doing very well for themselves and the companies are recruiting other students to follow in their footsteps. I know my graduating class was very thankful for the education they received from the professors at the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston (Department of Mechanical Engineering).
