Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
(Graduating Senior). Gtown is what you make of it, as will be any other school you may choose. College here is not what you see on MTV; expect wild parties the first few weekends, then expect to sit in the library. I've had my highest highs and lowest lows here. It can be competitive, but you'll learn thats good - welcome to adulthood (if you think you've reached it by graduating from high school or by getting a driver's liscence, youre mistaken) - friends at other schools may have a blast in college, but when you begin to apply for real-life, you'll be proud youre not submitting applications to work at McDonalds. Overall, i've experienced the full range of emotions regarding georgetown, and i can relate to every response i have read - they are all true in their own way. I have loved it and i have hated it here, but im thankful for every expereince. The city is awesome and full of oppurtinities for a great time (museums, bars, clubs, restauraunts, jobs). Living conditions and tuition costs are areas for VAST improvement - but the new dorm is a good start. If you're actually reading the comments on this website, you're already overthinking. Don't be confused by other people's personal experiences - like i said, its what you make of it, and there is little you can do to prepare for it (maybe practice sharing a bedroom 24/7 with a total stranger - 1st yr roommate might be your greatest education here). Now stop reading these stupid websites, the fun is in figuring it out for yourself.
