She cares more about Surrounding City than the average student.
Date: May 07 2005 Major: (This Major's Salary over time) I attended Pratt Institute for two years. I am in the Communication Design department. I will not tell you to not attend Pratt, because some people do actually love (who knows how or why!) it here. Pratt is a business, as most colleges are. The tuition fee is a rough 40k, but they always make it possible to knock that down to 25 or 30k. I would not go to this school for free... the corruption and lack of.. well everything is just absolutely outrageous. The administration is so awful that it will bring you to tears, Yes... I said tears. You will have to go to 50 places before you get an answer, and well that answer is most likely the wrong one. Besides the awful drug and alcohol problem that EVERYONE tends to ignore, there is the fact that the campus is not safe. This is an awful money hungry school that boasts to have an amazing reputation when really, no one has ever heard of it. Even people in the NYC design world have never heard of it. It's a pit. And you will most likely never leave your room. The professors here are amazing, and it's quite sad that they have to work in such awful conditions. But I already know two professors that are leaving, and one that has recommended that I leave due to the lack of quality and education that is taught here.
This school has major issues and I have no doubt that in the near future it will no longer exist.
