Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
My experience at Georgetown has been wonderful and faced again with a choice of University, I would choose Georgetown again. The academics have been excellent, although I will admit that I had a couple of intro classes in my first year that weren’t amazing. I have found the faculty to be accessible and genuinely interested in teaching, which after talking to friends at other Universities, I understand to be somewhat unique. The city speaks for itself, DC is a vibrant and interesting place to live as a student and there is never a lack of opportunities whether for fun or for work. Especially for those majoring in political science, DC is the place to be. My complaints about Georgetown are relatively few: at times the students can be competitive (although this depends largely on what major your classes are in), the administration can be frustrating and bureaucratic, and I’ve always wished that there were better facilities. In my own mind these complaints have not dominated my experience. It’s easy to avoid those students who wish to be competitive, I don’t actually have to deal with the administration that much and the quality of the gym is really secondary to the quality of academics in being a happy student. Do I wish Georgetown had more money? You bet, but I have loved my time at Georgetown.
