Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I absolutely love GWU. By the way people complain about this place, you wouldn't realize how amazing it is. Right now I am home for the summer and it is so incredibly boring once you have gone to college in DC. GW has a great reputation in the business world and in politics. The Elliot School of International Affairs has an incredible courseload and many concentrations to delve deeper into International Affairs(for example, I am an International Affairs major with a concentration in International Dev. and International Politics with a minor in Public Health). Advisors are pretty lenient with classes needed for requirements, so most people at GW have some extra degree or minor. Socially, GW is extremely cosmopolitan. It's very liberal and accepting. The girls are well-dressed and a lot of times they are Jappy New-Yorkers. In case you aren't in the know, JAP=Jewish American Princess. People love shopping, going out in Georgetown, protesting, tree-hugging, and interning while at GW....and don't forget people love to party! This is a city-school for sure, but people here are very nice. Almost everyone is from a different place, so cliques haven't started when people start freshman year. There's lots of different types at GW. People come to GW from all over the world and the country. There are some major metro-sexuals, nerds, JAPS, frat boys, Indians, Asians, Blacks, hispanics, jews, jews, and more jews. People here are very-hardworking and driven. I would estimate that 9/10 GW students interned sometime during their four years at GW, and most have interned on multiple occassions. People are very articulate and politically-minded. GW's average SAT is a 1300 and most rank in the top 10% of their class. It's pretty tough to get into but not overly intimidating. Class of 2009:brace yourselves for the time of your life!
