Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
Northeastern offers a very unique college experience. The Positives: 1. Academics: Northeastern has a very interesting yet challenging curriculum that mergers study of the liberal arts, pre-professional studies (business, engineering, computer science, health sciences, etc), with paid field placements in your major. But if you want a more traditional experience, you can always choose to enroll in the College of Arts of Sciences which is basically like a small liberal arts college. By the way, the professors here are really serious about teaching and place a lot of value on class participation. They also reward creativity and teamwork. Most make themselves available during office hours and generally make an effort to get know students on a more personal level. 2. Campus: Although Northeastern is in the middle of a large city, unlike most urban colleges, we actually have a green campus. This means there are places to play Frisbee or just hang out in the shade under a tree. The facilities here are absolutely amazing, especially the recreation center, library, classrooms, and the new West Village dorms!!!! 3. Location: Boston is the ultimate college town. PERIOD!!! Yeah, I know it shuts down earlier than NYC, but there’s always something going on after hours if you know where to look. 4. Diversity: This school is diverse in every way imaginable. Chances are you will find many people who share the same interests as you. The Negatives: 1. Cost: Northeastern is really expensive and Boston is not a cheap city. So make sure that you have the funds to enjoy it. But the field placements do pay very well ($$$$). Just don’t blow all your co-op money on partying and you’ll be fine. 2. Sports Teams: B-ball is good but the rest of the teams need some serious improvement. No regrets!!!!
