Date: May 02 2007 Major: (This Major's Salary over time) Social life and rules aside, the Computer Science department during my years (96-2000) was incredibly substandard.
There were no courses in web development, design patterns, or current technologies/languages. Only one semester was devoted to Object Oriented programming while a full year was devoted to COBOL. Upon graduation I was unable to find employment as an entry level software developer because I had no training in relevant technologies. My current success is the result of my taking the initiative to teach myself the basic technologies I was not taught at PCC.
Note: a quick look at the current CS course list shows no web development related courses
