Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a recent graduate and I have nothing but positive things to say about Towson. After reading other comments, I think that people need to remember that regardless of where one attends school, the experience is what you make it. You can't sit in your dorm room and expect life to be fabulous. You need to seek out the activities that you are interested in and then you will realize how easy it is to get involved. Towson actually houses many many extracurricular activities spanning a variety of interests. Class sizes are small and I have always had positive experiences with my professors. I would say the majority, especially within my major (psychology) not only knew my name during the course but would say hello to me in the hallway. Again, it's what you make of it. If you sit in the back of the class and never speak, don't expect the professor to know who you are. That goes for any university. I have always had a good experience with advisors, however I have heard that some are less than knowledgable. But, as a college student, if you take responsibility to read the course catalog and understand what you need to do, you should be fine. And after freshman year, you can pick your own advisor. There is so much to do in Towson outside of the university as well. York Road is filled with restaurants, shopping and bars. And the mall (which is huge) is right down the road. About 20 mins from the Inner Harbor and 45 mins from D.C. Highly recommend this school!
