Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
UC is a challenging school and anyone applying or attending needs to keep that in mind. Yes, the staff and other students are sometimes arrogant. They have the right to be, given that they are often working/studying in the top majority of their field. I understand how this can be perceived as a negative, but honestly while it puts me off occasionally, I am greatful to be able to attend UC. And in case you're wondering what program I'm in: I'm a transfer student (from another outside university, in another part of Ohio) into the DAAP (that is Design, Art, Architecture and Planning for those not familiar with the short term) Art Program. I'm majoring in 2D and focusing in Drawing. I am treated like any other student in the program, no favoritism is given to students who have been there longer and I see that as a bonus. My professors have been more than willing to work with me, so far, provided that I ask them to do so. Yes, some of the buildings on campus are still under construction. But UC has a beautiful campus, and the buildings that are under construction still are older buildings and/or sturctures that need to be brought up to modern code - any university over 10 yrs old is going to have to update its buildings sometime. And that unfortunately means that there will be construction going on somewhere. The DAAP building: It has it's leaks and small problems. But this is no different then the facilites at the first college I attended. DAAP's bonus: Personal studio space for advanced level students every quarter. Over all, there are ups and downs to UC, just like any other college.
