Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I absolutely love this place. There is SOO much to do whether or not you choose to drink. There are tons of fun parties, and beer is ALWAYS free. On the other hand, JMU has a huge "sober" scene also. They have midnight breakfasts, movies, open mic nights, concert, etc, etc. There is also so much around JMU to do...Tech and UVA are so close, and people are always going hiking or swimming in an outdoor water hole (known as Blue Hole). The UREC also plans trips to go rock climbing, camping, hiking, etc. Also, i feel like at least three times a week there is something going on around campus during the day (whether it be a carnival day, of "college recess"), they always have fun programs and free food. JMU also has a HUGE intramural sports program and club sports program. JMU football is also pretty big, despite the fact that we're not even THAT great. People, alumni, and resident of Harrisonburg tailgate five hours before each game, and your bound to have blast at football games or any other sporting event. Another thing I really like about JMU is all the community service opportunities. There are TONS of clubs (I think over 200) and a lot focus on community service. Also, things like Relay for Life and other benefits are always going on. Class wise, I absolutely LOVED my classes, and the professors are genuinely interested in helping you do well. The people at JMU are also so nice, they are always holding the door open for you, helping you pick up books, and I have even had someone pay for my meal when I forgot my ID card (JACard). This school has the best of everything, and is definitely worth a visit, because you will completely fall in love with the gorgeous campus.
