The problem with Quinnipiac is not the faculty. The faculty have been nothing but helpful and generous during my time spent here. Some of the professors are really great. More so, the administration is what makes the school so cold. Even though the school is small, I do feel like a number. I don't know my adminstration, nor do I feel the administration has taken any pains to get to know me or the student body - which I believe is part of their job. Campus is gorgeous. When you walk outside on a fall day and see Sleeping Giant you know why you came here. And then you look away, and remember why you want to leave. The kids don't care. At all. Everyone is so apathetic, it becomes cool to care little about anything at all, except partying. And that would be awesome, if this were a party school. However, it's not. The university has cracked down so much on alcohol that campus dies at night. There are no Greek houses, which automatically take out that aspect of partying. The athletes have exclusive, small parties. In lieu of going to parties, students must travel to New Haven to the bars & clubs. Yes, this may be fun for a year, but how long must one go to the same few places? Not to mention, New Haven is not just any city - it is the city of Yale. New Haven is Yale, Yale is New Haven. It is their city, we are just visiting. The Yale students make the Quinnipiac students feel extremely unwelcome. They are disrespectful and rude. I don't feel as though I should have to go out socially in a city where the residents dislike me because of where I attend school. If you want to be challenged by your peers and are looking for a classic college experience, I would reccomend looking elsewhere.
