Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I guess every school is going to have some mixed reviews . I have heard some really positive things about UCR that have surprised me, but that is ok, because it is just not the school for me. I came here as a Creative Writing major (it is the only UC that has one) but I am really here because I aimed too high and didn't apply to enough schools. The academics here are not that bad, so that is not why I hate this place with a burning passion. Basically, if you are unique in any way or have a lick of creativity in your brain, you will never get along with anyone. They are all just bratty little girly girls and fratboys. This is supposed to be one of the most "diverse" campuses in the country, but when it comes I also hate Riverside in general. It is ugly, boring, polluted, and quite depressing. So to sum it up, the education you get here isn't as bad as some make it seem, but as far as the people and the location go...those things both suck. I literally count down the days until I get to go home for vacations. I am transferring out this year. I hate this place so much. If you fit a very specific mold, you may enjoy it.
