I do not personally connect with this campus, but there are many people that would. The football team is a big deal to people here. Drinking (though typically not smoking) is a priority. That works for a lot of people and it's not hard to find similarly fun activities. I, however, drink casually without being a partier, and have no burning interest in athletics. I'd rather engage in generally strange conversations or pull an all-nighter painting messages on classroom ceilings. I have found the general population to be close-minded and critical of such behavior-- people seem stiff and uninterested in the abnormal. The judgmental attitude or the student body has made attending this campus an unsatisfying experience. I've found good people and made great friends, but they all feel just as disconnected from the greater populous. There is no reason to rule out BC as a potentially perfect fit, but be aware that more eccentric students may feel out of place.
