I loved every minute of attending UT. The campus is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the classes are engaging. I majored in English, which some people consider a joke major, which is fine, but its the only major I considered due to my love of literature and creative writing. While the basic required courses not related to my major were taught in large intimidating auditoriums, my English classes were never more than 15-20 people. The instructors were all very friendly and eager to teach. I would regularly visit their offices just to discuss the material to learn any extra information I could, and they were happy to have me. We often would visit the Harry Ransom Center and spend hours going through the amazing collections they have. It may just be an average English department compared to other schools, but I loved it. I also was able to find a job out of school working for a great company doing what I love, writing. I also chose the business foundations program as my minor. It gives you a little exposure to how phenomenal the business school is, all of the classes were top rate.
