I have truly enjoyed my college experience, Marist provides all of the amenities that students could possibly imagine, and they always make sure there is something for Marist students to do on and off campus. The facilities are beautiful, and our campus continues to expand. They provide great opportunities and sites off of our campus as well, through the very easy study abroad program and the internship connections. However, I have been disappointed when it comes to the academic life at Marist. Although many college students complain that their classes are so difficult, I find myself amazed at how easy my classes are. I want to be challenged in my classes, and although the course load for me is heavy with lots of paper writing, I'm not challenged to think beyond what I already know in my communications classes. I'm a bright student, but did not expect to exceed in every class in college. I think the communications dept should take a second look at their curriculum and faculty. Some courses, such as the Public Relations course should be taken sooner than junior year of college.
