Gonzaga is not your typical University. Don't expect to turn into a number or just some face in the crowd. The professors here have mandatory office hours and usually take great interest in not just an individual assignment, but also your personal development (NOT THEIRS!!). Gonzaga may not be a large research university with world renowned professors, but it does follow a world renowned model for education, dating back to the renaissance, which I have found is highly respected by academics worldwide. Before you apply, take a look at the university's core curriculum. Students are required to take classes in all fields as well as study philosophy and religion extensively. Gonzaga is a solid and respectable undergraduate education but the good thing is that students tend to be more humble than pretentious. Take a look the percentage of students who choose to enter the peace core as an example. Also, don't forget about our basketball team! Its just one aspect of a very complex community and social scene. If you haven't waiting in line for days on end in the snow to get basketball tickets than you can't be considered a real ZAG. As for negative aspects of the university, you should do some research on Spokane and decide if you are ready for a midsize (SMALL) city. Some students tend to be disappointed, but a small town just means you have to be a little more creative to have fun.
