Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I came from Chicago and the state of Michigan has some of the most close minded people and the economy is so terrible and affects the people around you. I obviously came from a big city and the town of East Lansing is suicide inducing. The most exciting things are the Taco Bell, the Mjiers, and some bars. The social scene was very promising but a complete shit show. This school is more about dressing well than U of I, which I loved, but the people were too sensitive and not as forward as the city folk I'm used to. This is one of the most impressive party schools in the nation, if you can't handle your liquor, stay out of the party. This is review is just a bash of the people and the state of Michigan. This state sucks so much, the economy is so in the shitter that people are either rich or poor and either a close minded white person or from Detroit. I'm white and have multiple best friends who are black back home in Chicago, but people in Michigan are so sensitive to race its disgusting. Also I'm a female and the male population's attempt at wooing you is either "hey, let's fuck" or "let me just sit here and stand in this corner and not approach you". Academically, the school is amazing, besides the Chem & Math programs.. those need some work. If you're from a smaller town this school is for you, I couldn't do it. I hated the people, the economy and the city. (except the awesome fact that sales tax was 6% instead of 11%)
