Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I just finished my first year at Georgetown and I HATED it. I expected it to get better after first semester, but it didn't. Most of the kids are very friendly but also very fake and very similar in terms of how they act, speak, wear. Their idea of fun is random-making out and kegs. I grew up in DC and went to a diverse high school, so going to a school that was not diverse was definitely depressing. I felt different because I didn't conform to what the other students liked or enjoyed. I was also Pre-med and the science classes here suck. I would prefer going to another institution for science majors to get the grades you deserve from better professors. Helpfulness varies from teach to teacher, one teacher will never help while the other teacher does but there are hundreds of students lined up so you have to depend on yourself pretty much. The food is fine but I didn't expect to be sitting alone for the majority of the time. I just hope it gets better so I recommend you get involved and volunteer or have a job,I met some cool people that way. The parties here are wack, I prefer you leave Georgetown and go to the clubs in DC seriously. I also didn't like my roomate so my living situation wasn't good and the dorms in the beginning are not what you pay for. The financial office is irritating and they are not understanding of your situations so you better hustle. From the social scene to academics, I hated it.
