Firstly, before you look at anymore of the comments, or continue to read this one, please understand that EVERY EXPERIENCE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT, including college. I will be entering into my sophomore year in the fall semester, and I do not regret my decision of coming to Towson University. The school is really made for fitting your needs, since they have so many ways of accommodating you. For example, if you and your advisor are not working out well, you can change the advisor. Also, just because you are assigned to a certain teacher or advisor, that does not mean that someone else is not willing to help you. I have never been in a situation where i have felt out of luck or helpless. The school is always working to improve something on the campus for the students. As far as social life is concerned, Towson itself is not the best of places, but it is not the worst. There are a few things to do, and we are on the border of Baltimore City, as well as in the midst of college town. So, if you really want something to do, it is not hard to find. As far as the other students: Towson, or any other school, does not accept people based off of personality. Who you make as your friends is up to you and the crowd you decide to be a part of. Of course there will be people that you will "clash" with, that has been happening since you were in pre-school, so it definitely will not stop while you are truly forming into who you are and finding yourself. I've seen Towson make initiatives to let the students make the school what they want it to be. Honestly, if you want an amazing experience at Towson, or wherever you choose, remember to come with a postitive attitude, have your goals in place, do not forget while you are there, and enjoy every moment that you have! You only get this chance once. You only get one shot.
