I'm instate and and satisfied with Towson... I don't know why any one out of state would come to this crap shoot... I enjoy the biology department there's alot of good professors that really care about you and your work. It's hard, but thats what you should expect from a biology department. Don't go to Towson looking to party... The parties are lame, the campus is filled with fake frats and sororities ( by fake I mean not recognized), who couldn't throw a good party if they tried... It's mostly a bar school. The worst part is the actual school itself. They waste money on an athletic department that blows, they make terrible decision with building plans, tear up beautiful gardens, trees, and grasses to do pointless things. No smoking on campus is plain stupid and barely enforce( they just get money from the government for saying they are smoke free). They are spending millions on a new arena for sports teams that havent won championships in decades, when they could be build a new science building or business building that would actually be helpful. The higher ups are very inconsiderate of the students opinions, they will only agree if it's cheap, so they can pump more money into out ever dieting football program an to change every sign on campus to say "a smoke free campus". Picking classes is a joke, you'll get closed out of every class you want, they designed it so u have to go 5 years or take summer classes an a 17-19 credit semester every semester. Besides the biology department and other sciences the schooling is pretty much a joke. Bottom line, it's good for an instate price that ends up being less then 15 grand a year, people coming from out of state are idiots, no way do you get your money's worth.
