People are SOOOO negative and I guarantee it is because one little thing about Towson pissed them off so they felt the need to come on here and go on a rampage. Towson is a good school. I don't live on campus, so I can't speak for the fact that people go home on weekends-that may be true. But, Towson has a lot of activities and things that you can get involved in if you actually put in the effort. A lot of the college experience is about YOU not the school. Towson is doing construction so it is not the prettiest right now..but it is going to look great! The new building is amazing and has amazing classrooms. Professors have been really nice and helpful. One thing I will say is that the advising sucks. Also, the older buildings like Smith Hall need to be kept cleaner.. the bathrooms are always disgusting! But for the most part, Towson is a good school with lots of opportunities to have fun! We also have new dorms which are really nice and we are trying to make our football team more popular! As far as the surrounding area of Towson, there are a lot of bar options if you are 21. People make it sound like it is EXTREMELY dangerous. It's not THAT bad. Obviously you shouldn't be walking around at night, but I go to the bars at night all the time and have never had any problem. Please don't listen to everything you read on here because half of it isn't even true.
