Richmond is one of my favorite places in the world! After two years going to this school, I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. The academics are great all around; you will receive a unparalleled education here. Professors are amazing and always very helpful. And they truly try to connect with you on a personal level; professors at Richmond truly care about their students. Every single one of the professors I've had not only knows my name, but also knows me personally. As for the social aspects of college, there's something for everyone as well. To be sure, partying is a major aspect of social life on campus for both Greeks and Non-Greeks. Basically every organization WILL have parties. But other than the Greeks and a few other groups partying is not the main activity. Speaking of Greeks, it is unnecessary to get involved with Greek Life on campus. It's prevalent, but not very exclusive (we don't have houses, just meeting buildings/party rooms). If you do join, you'll have a blast; but if you don't you won't feel left out as long as you are involved in other areas. Finally, if you're looking to study abroad, this is the school to go to. Richmond has a TON of programs all over the world, and pretty much every major encourages it. And everybody goes; about 70% of my class will be studying abroad this fall
