Berkeley is a do it yourself kind of school. You are responsible for everything. However, if you want to speak one on one with a professor, it isn't a problem as long as you go during posted office hours. Not impossible to get A's if you keep up with your studies, but that's difficult to do with all the distractions. If you plan on going to grad school, you should attend a private school, much, much easier to get good grades.
