Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I personally frequently use the phrase "I hate UIC" and most of those that I say this to are in agreement. I have one friend that disagrees with me but she switched schools... But I digress... UIC is extremely unorganized and leaves students very much on their own for most things. For example, some issues I have had in the past MONTH: - UIC has been refusing to waive prerequisite requirements for a class that I have already taken coursework in. - Campus Care charged my account and put a hold on my account without informing me of such - I tried to go to an on campus meet-up for the Peace Corps recruitment and made it to the building that the recruitment was in according to the PC website, however, none of the information booths/ staff that I spoke with knew where I needed to go. A couple of the advisors I have spoken with and many of the teachers/professors are really good. However, when they are not, It is very difficult to communicate with the school about any problem that occurs. Hands down would definitely go to a different school if given the chance to start over. I am currently a senior and have one semester to go. Unless you want to be a human doctor or a dentist (and are ok with cut throat competition) don't pick this school!
