On the US News and World Report, Geneseo has made #1 for undergraduate teaching for regional universities of the north #2 public school for regional universities of the north (Just below College of New Jersey and beating out well-reputed Rutgers) #10 for regional universities of the north (both private and public) Unfortunately, the college is only judged based on its regional university status so we can't see where it would stand against national universities and other liberal arts colleges, but I am confident it would make a decent standing given how high up it is in its own category. Geneseo continues to top the list of Kiplinger's "Best Value" colleges for public schools (ALL, not just regional) across the nation for both in-state and out-of-state students (currently number one for out-of-state, number 9 for in-state). Sorry for those who didn't have a good experience at Geneseo, but it IS a good college. Yes, the "public Ivy" term is kind of silly and arbitrary but even though it's not on par with the Ivies (I never actually expected it to be, neither did anyone else I met there), it is still a really decent school. I loved my time there in general, my EC's, my social life, the overall student body, my interactions with professors, the beauty of the surrounding area even if it is really remote, etc. And as an important bonus, I'M NOT IN DEBT!
