I'm an instate student, first year student, but i would gone to George Mason if it wasn't so expensive. Positive: As far as the classes i take, they are not to hard, or too difficult. If you take the effort to learn, you will learn a lot. Especially if you show interest. during the week, there are usually school sponsored events, but most students would probably find these things boring(like myself). You can always hang out with the friends that you make during the week and on weekends. Professors seem interested and are willing to help if you seek help. The girls are beautiful for the most part, and seem to be pretty easy, in honesty, if you get to know them well enough. The mall is close to walk to. Neutral: Unless you make it known to your friends that you want to do things other than party, you will wind up partying every Friday and Saturday. Unless you are a girl or in a frat, its pretty hard to get in depending on the time of the semester. The food isn't bad, but after a while, you get tired of it. The frat guys aren't all too bad, but the Sorority girls all look the same...Leggings, boots, and jackets. They seem to be b***** too. Since Towson is a D1 AA school, sports aren't as big as they are at schools like MD, but nonetheless, football games/ basketball games are always enjoyable. Negative: School repair is going on currently so it looks kind of bad. You have to really try to find something else besides parties. A lot of people go home on the weekend because the campus can be boring at times.(All people want to do is party!) The crime around the mall area is pretty bad. People seem to think Towson is the back up for UMD but it's a pretty nice school. Nothing too exciting, but if Towson would get the construction out of the way, and the student body would do more than JUST party, Towson could be way better.
