I love RIT, it has truly been the best years of my life. Everyone here complains about the social life and weather. The social life is fine, go out! Join a club! Meet new people in other dorms. RIT IS NO NYU or U of MIAMI but it certainly has a social life. The weather here does suck... It snows from October to February so be prepared.. Overall, I highly recommend RIT to anyone interested in gaining real life experience through it's amazing coop programs and challenging workload. The is very hard academically.
