Major: (This Major's Salary over time)
I would consider myself a pretty bright kid (i.e 3.57 GPA and 1820 on SAT) and to be honest I think coming here was a mistake. First of all, the dorming isn't all its cracked up to be and as a matter of fact some of the other schools I looked at had much nicer dorms. The kids are okay but they seem to be very cliquey. Also, the majority of kids are focused more on the bar scene here at Loyola than the actual academics. The academics here are good but they are nothing to rave about. The school is not worth the enormous price tag and here are some of the reasons why. The school is good in name only. They make it seem that they have a very competitive system of getting in meanwhile they offer an SAT optional admissions platform and have roughly a 63% acceptance rate. Lastly and most importantly for prospective class of 2019 and transfer students. If you want any aspect of a social life you will need a fake id. granted I decided not to get one but I have also chosen not to participate in the Thursday - Sunday weekly bar going. If this is your thing and you maybe even already have a fake id, you will probably enjoy it here but if you have no intentions of doing drugs or drinking copious amounts of Alcohol I would advise against coming to Loyola. To sum it up, Loyola seems to have good academics but they are not as good as you may think. It's also a living cliche of a bar school and the weekends are boring unless you are participating in them. It takes a certain kind of person to be able to attend this school and I would advise that you assess yourself before making the decision to come here, even if it is the best school you got into or the school that offered you the most scholarship money.
