I would have preferred a more social environment. UCSD is very anti social and fun events are hard to come by on campus. You must be extremely motivated if you go to this school because you will have to do the footwork to find out what is going on on-campus and to find all the available resources. Most of the time the school will not give you any of this information; you'll have to find it for yourself. The Administration is antagonistic to student communities; they are currently attempting to evict a 35 year co-op Che Cafe, on the grounds that their building doesn't meet fire safety requirements. Know what you are up against if you choose to come to this school and keep on fighting the Administration if you have to.
