Good school.Nursing
Good school. Jumping through hoops is frustrating at times, but this is a solid program. UAA's small size is a real asset. High number of "returning" students is also a bonus - lots of people in my classes had good real-world experience.

Not terrible, but could be better. Campus wireless network is a joke - with is a big problem when you need to use the internet for research, papers, etc. Im sure they'll fix it at some point but the fact that it's been messed up for months tells you a little about the school.

The policy of requiring students to buy their own scantron forms/bluebooks is frustrating, we should not have to go out of our way and pay to get the forms we are required to have to take our tests.

Some annoying fees, for example part of your tuition pays for printing credit in the library, which is wasted money if you have a printer at home.

Campus is bland overall.. not extremely old or falling apart, but not fresh and especially ascetically pleasing.Campus does a surprisingly good job of bringing up comedians and other performers for student shows - considering we are in Alaska. Don't expect something to be happening every night.

Question
Obtaining a college degree is necessary to validateFinance
Obtaining a college degree is necessary to validate ones aptitudes and abilities in the business world. I did not feel like I was particularly smarter after graduating but the degree opened doors that being smart with only a HS diploma couldn't. I graduated in my early 30s and got a 40% pay increase with the same employer whom I had worked for five years. They didn't want to lose me - but did six months later when I changed fields and received an additional 20% increase in pay.
