I wasted a year before figuring that theBrightEducation
I wasted a year before figuring that the only place I would be able to get a job with a PCC education degree was at PCC or the grade school next door (run by the same gangsters). The school does NOT offer parity with the requirements for public school certification. They NEVER TOLD ME! Ever tried to do research in a place that bans internet use? Well that's how it works at PCC! That is just one of the crazier rules. I got out and only wasted a few thousand dollars and one year.

Question
Overall, I am thankful for my education recievedNursing
Overall, I am thankful for my education recieved while at PCC. The nursing program was intense but prepared me very well for the real world of nursing. I often think to myself, If I could survive nursing school at PCC...I could do anything. I had some real high points while a student there and some very low points as well. High points included meeting wonderful life long friends, and spiritual decisions made for the Lord. The low points would include when I was not allowed to fly home for my sisters wedding because I would've missed a required Revival meeting. They eventually let me go, but I literally had to fly in the night before the wedding and leave the morning after the wedding. My parents had to pay a fine to the airline for having to change my flight...so I could attend the required "Revival" service. Other low points included one of my nursing instructers asking me if I was "Saved" because I wanted to change my major. I found it insulting. I also became involved in a relationship at PCC that was unhealthy...and this still effects me to this day. I also found it very self-deafeating to try and measure up to their definition of spirituality. I am glad now that I realize my relationship with Christ is not about the "do's" and "don'ts" of PCC. It was not all bad, but not all good either. Anyone considering going to this college needs to prayfully consider their options. It is the right place for some, but not for all. I believe it was where the Lord led me...and overall I am glad for the decision I made.

Question
I spent 2 years as an undergraduate, fromOther
I spent 2 years as an undergraduate, from 1996 to 1998. I started out in a 4-year degree (commercial writing), but ultimately got a 2-year medical secretary degree. I won't get into my reasons for changing my major. Overall I think the school is great, and you do get a solid education. Personally, I was minimally prepared for college life in some ways. I had not owned or had access to a computer in the years before I went to college, so I had to learn how to use one, which I feel held me back grade-wise (I did graduate with a 3.1 average GPA). Secondly, I am a very backward person who does NOT like to ask for help, which of course is my fault, so when I didn't know what I was doing, I just tended to wing it and hope for the best. My teachers for the most part were wonderful. I only wish I had been a bit more proactive and getting help when I needed it. My most negative experience at PCC came after I graduated. I got a job working at the college in the business office and absolutely hated it. I count it one of the worst jobs I've ever had. Being thrown in there with lots to learn in very little time and little pay, dealing with parents snapping and even cursing at me over the phone as well as a generally unpleasant, unwelcome atmosphere in that office made this job extremely hard. I also worked in the Distribution Center, which wasn't much better for the same reasons. Bottom line, great school, horrible place to work. I'm so glad I'm out of there now. There were...and probably are still...some miserable people who work there. I am extremely happy now. Married with a little boy and my life couldn't be better. Was just reminiscing and had to share.
