Georgia Tech sets one up for an excellentQuite BrightMechanical Engineering
Georgia Tech sets one up for an excellent career after graduation. The school is very tough, but there is a bunch of fun to be had too. It follows a work hard, play hard mindset. Having just graduated, I must say I was incredibly impressed with the job offers I was getting. Most of the people I know were getting many offers for great positions upon graduation. On top of that, I love the campus environment. The campus is really nice and constantly evolving. The campus makes one feel like you are in the middle of the country in that there are lots of trees and green space while all the buildings are only a couple of floors. Meanwhile, the campus is in the middle of Atlanta with some of the tallest buildings in the world. It is great having the whole cities resources right there. Pretty much every big show or concert comes through the city, and there are many fun bars and places to hang out. I would absolutely go back and do it all over again at Georgia Tech.

Graduated 1972 after 5 calendar years (due to co-op). First two years are the toughest, make it through those and college life is quite stimulating and rewarding. Don't come here if you are not willing to work hard for good grades. You may have been at the top of your class in high school, but so is everyone who comes here. Work hard and you will be rewarded, both during college and in your professional life.

Question
Well, I don't know where to start.Computer Science
Well, I don't know where to start. I guess, I'm on here to vent my frustration in hopes that what I will tell anyone who reads this website gets some good advice. Please, be aware of GT's housing policy. Also, to avoid the problem of having a dickhead roommate who thinks he is a gangster rapper and just go ahead and just find someone ahead of time to room with.

I had HOPE scholarship and everything going into college there, money stashed away in a bank account, etc... I was a computer science major when I started there. Things between Tech and I ended after attending school for a year and a half. What happened resulted in me being academically suspended, extreme depression and a partially wrecked GPA. As a result my bank account took a huge hit and wound up costing me more than just a year of my life!!!I chose to go elsewhere to complete my undergraduate degree and have wound up accepted to law school. Please, please, please be aware that opportunities can be found elsewhere. Your potential attendance at GT should be considered an enormous liability. Those "rumors" you keep hearing about it are in FACT true!
