I think Towson University was a great choiceBrightPerfomance Arts
I think Towson University was a great choice for me. I'm from New Jersey; so for me, it's far enough to be away, but close enough to come home if necessary. The people are friendly, and there are always opportunities to get involved. You just have to be willing to do it! Yes, Towson is a large commuter school, but there are also alot of resident students! Plus, many of our commuters are actually students that have moved off campus to nearby apartments. The doors are a great size, and you plenty of different options as to which type of dorm you would like to live in, and all of them are a short walk to any academic building on campus. The food is ok. Sure, after awhile you get sick of the same things everyday. But, that goes with any college or university. The food gets alot better when the holidays are around, or when it it parent's weekend. Parking has gotten so much better since the new garage has been built. I have not had a problem with parking at all this semester! It's been great. as far as classes go, it really depends on the teacher you have. Some of them are extremely difficult and alot of work, but others are no where near comparison. There are plenty of teacher's lists about who to take, so that is quite helpful! Registering for the classes you want gets a little difficult, depending on your major. The classes are good size and most of the teachers are very helpful! Be advised- The advisors on campus often are TERRIBLE! SOME of them have no clue what they are talking about, and often discourage you from doing what you really want. But there are others that will bend over backwards for you!

Overall, Towson is a good school. It does have its disadavantages- but so does every other college or university. The school is so close to Baltimore, and definitely within driving distance to Washington D.C and New York City. There are alot of opporunities to give you a head start of you career, whether it would be volunteering or interning or actually working in your desired field. Pluse, towson offers a variety of things to do on and off campus to help you relax and enjoy your 4 years at Towson!

I'm in my third year here at TowsonQuite BrightNursing
I'm in my third year here at Towson and love it here. For the most part I've had very good professors who care about their students. Of course, everyone has had that one professor who drives you crazy all semester long, but I feel they are few and far between here. Overall, I've found the student body is very friendly and professors are very helpful.

Question
The school is good.AverageCommunications
The school is good. The courses are not too hard...not too easy. A ton of attractive people go here. But if you don't live on campus, no one talks to you. The majority of my classes are full of people who refuse to accept any new ideas, its one of those agree with us, or shut up. SOme classes are full of whiny kids who complain that they don't understand anything even though they don't study. The friendships are mainly superficail, its not about who you are, its about just finding anybody to get drunk and go to parties. Yeah go to this school, but be prepared to be lonely.
