Looking back, I wish I would have gottenPreLaw and Legal
Looking back, I wish I would have gotten more involved in campus activities and made more friends.
There was vast opportunities to do so, and somehow I just let them pass me by.
I let the only possible valuable part of college slip through my fingers.
I spent a lot of time studying subjects that are long forgotten and totally irrelvant to what I do now anyway.

I am now in law school, and I feel like at have just reached the beginning of what I was working towards for 17 years.

College was just an extension of high school; going through the motions to get a fancy piece of paper with my name on it.Thus, my advice would be -- enjoy the college experience, do the best you can, but don't take it too seriously.

Question
I'm a freshman.AverageNursing
I'm a freshman. I came from Illinois and what I have discovered in Michigan is that there is not so much to do outside the campus, especially in East Lansing.Freshmans, get use to walking and the same food each month just different weeks. Also, get use to dorm life (at least for one yr) because you can't: change the temperature of the heaters,it's never quiet, live w/ someone else. I went in blind and I never noticed what little things I didn't like (ex.taking out garbage and having friends over). Also, keep an open mind because if you don't, you'll end up not making as many friends as you could have.Get use to meeting new people everyday.Get to know the bus system,it's pretty good.Purchase rain boots,an umbrella, and snow boots, you're practically going against the weather everyday.Save high school notes to help you refresh you memory(especially in math, chemistry, and anatomy and physio).Don't be afraid to eat breakfast/lunch/or dinner alone or else you'll go hungry.Keep your door open(that's how I met people on my floor).Don't be afraid to ask questions, so you won't get screwed over(especially if you're transferring).Try not to waste excessive amounts of time doing "non-productive" things or else you'll fall behind fast.Try to make friends in each class so that you can have study-buddy (which helps alot).Don't be afraid to get help in your classes(this is what TA's get paid for). For CEM 141 don't let the TA's intimidate you, if you don't understand their explanation let them know, they need the comments.Use anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, you don't notice how dirty dorm life is.

Question
Wow. Michigan State University.Quite BrightMath
Wow. Michigan State University. If you want to go to school where EVERYONE is from the boring state Michigan. This is a great place for you. First of all. Have fun paying for an overpriced poor education. I don't know if I hate the state of Michigan or the school more. For one, U of M is clearly the better school. I attended Michigan State my freshman year and heard how much U of M sucks. Reality check- most of the kids at state are the ones who didn't get into U of M. The other half are the kids who are happy they got into here because they couldn't get in anywhere else. Yeah there are some intelligent people here, but there are definitely some dull ones. Being an out-of-stater makes the experience here a lot different. For one, I met ZERO people from my area back home. Everyone I met showed me where they lived on there hand...cool. And why is campus so fucking big? Everything is so spaced out. If you have a class in Akers, have fun on a 45 minute walk to class. One thing I will say is the food is spectacular. As for other facts, student body isn't very attractive at all, the weather sucks, and people from Michigan are rude. Half of them say they are from Detroit when they live an hour from it. Why would you want to associate yourself with that city? Also, greek life is weak as hell. If you are from out of state, save some money and go somewhere with nicer weather.
