The ECE program is great but challenging. There are many opportunities for working with people in classes. The school is big but this allows you to do many things with a lot of different kinds of people. The food there is okay but there are many different places to eat whatever you fancy. I enjoy my time here and can get the help when needed from all the different resources on campus.

“Changing Majors is hard at NCSU.AverageBusiness - Management and Administration
Changing Majors is hard at NCSU. Since students enter into their major from the start and majors don't over lap it becomes a six year graduation rate. This is why the school's overall graduation four year rate is low. Advising is not helpful. Business department changes required courses, for example computer skills test. Would not recommend NCSU for Out of State students.

“The atmosphere of NC State is great andQuite BrightOther
The atmosphere of NC State is great and the education is well worth the money. There is always something to do in Raleigh and most staples of student life are within walking distance. The two main roads in Raleigh run around the campus which makes traffic suck all day long, but it makes everything easier to get to. The people at NC State are a good blend of people from mixed backgrounds so finding friends was really easy, however, some students are known to be very stuck up and 'living off of mommy and daddy's money.' Freshmen have many chances to meet new people because the University has many events with university housing.
