Positive Negative Neutral Advice
NC State was a phenomenal college experience.Quite Bright
NC State was a phenomenal college experience. I grew as a person in terms of maturity and intellectual development. The academics in engineering were excellent, and I made a lot of friends. NC State is a well-grounded and unpretentious school. Nobody cares where you came from or how much money your family has - they're more concerned with who you are as a person. The people on campus are very friendly. You can talk to anyone. Being a large school, the student body isn't in to cliques or social groups. Instead, the student body is unified and a communal environment exists. NC State is like a large family that is always there for you as a student and an alumnus. I was highly challenged as an engineering student. The classes were competitive and interesting. Professors were approachable and did a good job bringing the technical curriculum to life. The social life at State was strong. Something is always going on in Raleigh, and you aren't far from the beaches or the mountains. The only negative I could say about State is that it is not a place for liberal arts. If you want to major in engineering, the sciences, architecture or agriculture, NC State is a great college experience. If you want to major in liberal arts, go to another school.

Question
NC State prepared me for a successful professionalBrightComputer Science
NC State prepared me for a successful professional career. Since graduating I have returned to another school to get my MBA. In NC, NC State has a strong reputation. Outside NC, people only know it as the state school in NC. If you need some self validation by the university you attend, go else where. If you are looking for a excellent education for a good price, go to NC State.

Question
North Carolina State is an excellent university thatQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
North Carolina State is an excellent university that deserves praise for its helpful faculty, friendly student body, fun athletic events, and superb resources and facilities. I had a great experience while attending NC State and have trouble understanding why several other reviewers have left negative comments. While it is true that NC State's campus' aesthetics are not its strongest point, the city of Raleigh (which is ranked in the top 5 best cities to live in both overall and for singles by several magazines like Fortune, and is also ranked as "the #1 city for jobs" by Fortune) more than compensates for that weakness. Although the engineering and textiles schools are arguably NC State's most reputable programs, every college within the university has top-notch faculty and does a wonderful job preparing students for the work force in whichever field they may be pursuing after graduation.
