Coming to UNC was one of the bestQuite BrightBiology
Coming to UNC was one of the best choices I have ever made. Although I knew that choosing biology, one of the most difficult subjects at UNC,would be hard I also knew that it was worth the effort. Also, I have taken many courses outside my major like women studies and an intro to jazz course with amazing professors. It is really easy to get involved in campus life. I wrote for the Daily Tarheel for a semester and learned a lot about journalism. There is always something going on and UNC is a lot of fun but you have to realize that it is not an easy college like some other places.

UNC provided a wonderful education for me.Quite BrightPsychology
UNC provided a wonderful education for me. I started out as a Biology major (as did practically everyone) and decided to change to Psychology when I discovered I just didn't want to do Bio for a living. I am now a grad student at another state university, and the differences are enormous! UNC provides up-to-date technology and services for students. If you don't want to be considered a "number" and aren't willing to do something about that, then UNC is not for you. But, if you're willing to drop an email to your prof or TA, and meet other students, and simply open a door for someone or offer directions to a visitor, then you'll do JUST FINE at UNC. I never went anywhere where I didn't see someone I knew (and I'm shy) and the sense of pride and loyalty on that campus is amazing. If you're serious about your education (as you SHOULD be, if you got into Carolina) then your professors will respect you, help you, and best of all, expect the best out of you. Carolina students are cream of the crop... but occasionally bad apples get in. Those who hate UNC are the ones who were challenged and failed to rise.
