Everything about this school is average.BrightFinance
Everything about this school is average. Most of my professors have no idea how to create a lesson plan, let alone teach. Half the professors go on tangents about random shit that is completely irrelevant. Many of the students spend class time on their laptops playing games or going on Facebook; there's rarely any class engagement or discussion because nobody cares.

The campus center and most of the buildings have the atmosphere of a McDonalds that was built in the early 90's. Buildings are really unattractive, smelly, and poorly maintained.

Don't even think about attending this school unless it's your only choice. Also, work hard in high school so you don't end up going to a college that is AVERAGE, or in other words, shitty.

Only consider going here if you are majoringQuite BrightTelecommunications
Only consider going here if you are majoring in music, theater arts, or film/tv, and couldn't get in or afford a first tier school in those disciplines. Otherwise, it's to be considered if you're from the area and want to stay close. If you have any other decent prospects, avoid. Oh, or you're really into drugs. Drugs and drinking are the only social scene here. And that's not a freshman snap judgment, it's three years with different friends. Drinking is the only way to have fun.

Question
This school is certainly fun, but it canQuite BrightPublic Health
This school is certainly fun, but it can not be for some people. If your close-minded or straight edge, this may not be the place. But if your just the average kid who wants to go to a decent college and have fun, its for you.

social- if you want to to party, theres always a party. they are easy to find out about and get into. there are so many options- off and on campus in walking distance, and cornell is so accessible. its nice to not have to deal with greek life on campus but to be able to go to their parties. older kids go to collegetown bars on wednesday nights and thursday night parties are common. if you like to smoke weed, go here. theres also plenty of concerts and live music here.

education- some classes are hard, some really easy. it depends on the level and amount of kids in a class. i have some classes with 80 plus, yet some classes with only ten. The mix is pleasant because it offers some variety and a break if you need it for a content heavy courseload. some majors are certainly harder than others. communications and health sciences are great programs. professors very willing to help.

location- downtown ithaca is a cute, liberal little town. coverd in coffee shops, tatto parlors, and places to get burritos. Some excellent restuaraunts and bars for if you want to get out. the views are gorgeous int he spring and summer.

food- mediocre at best. late night delivery makes up for this
people- many people from long island or the city. some hipsters and princesses. very open gay popuation. most people just normal, willing to talk and esp. party with you. not too cliquey but a variety of personalities mesh here. think dumb jocks + alternative indie rockers.
