Marist is growing and we are a small school. We must remain that way because students are quickly turning into numbers, NOT students.

Question
The parties are repeptitive and get old quick.Quite BrightCommunications
The parties are repeptitive and get old quick. Bars and clubs are ok. In general the weekends are pretty decent. The academics are good, not too hard but looks good on a resume. My biggest concern are the athletics. All our teams are awful, except for girls basketball. the booster club is annoying, they have way too much spirit for our below mediocre sports teams. The facilities are a joke as well. We have only 2 basketball courts, which are shared by intramurals, clubs sports, and varsity practices. So do NOT believe anything you hear about the availability of a gym. You have to plan and schedule exactly when you go around the other sports. So late at night or early in the morning. Both to workout or simply use the court for basketball or whatever youd like to play.

Question
There is definitely truth to the Marist stereotype-Quite BrightCommunications
There is definitely truth to the Marist stereotype- most people are white, upper-middle class, somewhat conservative, shallow, yet friendly from CT, NJ, and Long Island. There are girls who dress like skanks, take 6 shots of Crystal Palace and go clubbing, and the bros who wear polos and go out hoping to get laid. These people are the most prevalent, but there are some artsy, chill people too. DEFINITELY join clubs if you go here. Also, the core communications classes suck, but once you get into your concentration (PR, sports comm, etc) they get better.
