I have been at KSU for two years now.AverageFinance
I have been at KSU for two years now. These have been the most wasted two years in my life. The students here are cold and arrogant, close-minded and uninviting. DO NOT COME HERE if you don't know anyone -everyone at this school comes with their friends from local high schools and they're not interested in meeting you. The city sucks. Everywhere off-campus is run-down and disgusting. There is no night life. The education sucks -all we do is take scantron after scantron. I'm transferring as soon as I can -trust me, AVOID KENT STATE like the plague. I want my two years back.

Question
Kent sucks.Quite BrightChemistry
Kent sucks. There is far too much for the tuition paid. They lose money forcing you to provide canceled checks at least once a semester.

The worst thing about it is the honors college is a joke. It is full of completely incompetent idiots who are condescending. They don't support science majors, and when I questioned this they said they do support all majors (as long as you can take the classes in something else) and that perhaps the honors college isn't the place for me. How about offering a bio, chem, physics, geology or any of the many many other classes I need.

You have so many advisers and all are terrible. Passing questions around with never an answer to be heard.

Half my teachers don't speak English. When you try to speak with a department head, well good luck getting one to even speak with you. When they do, they acknowledge the problem, but hey whatever right? I don't need to learn in a language that I understand.

Teachers are openly terrible and the school knows it. Terrible ratings and failing entire classes are common among at least 2 math professors I know. Then the school just gives the whole class a C to have you shut up. Nice huh?

Some of the buildings are nice but God forbid there be a nice science building. They are old, crappy and falling apart. The whole place sucks and cares only about getting their money from their "tuition bearing units"
