Cheyney is a good school.Quite BrightEducation
Cheyney is a good school. I love the students, the atmosphere and some faculty members. The work is fair. I haven't had any major problems and tutor assistance is always offered. Also, many students engage in peer tutoring. Since Cheyney is an all black school, I'm sad to say that it is a little ghetto but it doesn't affect my study habbits and I feel I am maturing and learning. Cheyney is not good on the financial side of things. Too often people are complaining about finacial situations. For us as students to have to pay a technology fee, the computers should be working at all times as well as the printers. Unfortunately, this is not happening. Too often, I am not able to print my work and the library may be closed and there is no where else to go. For us to be the first black HBCU, I believe we are the worst. We should have a band not 3 drummers. We should have a good cheerleading squad not 5 cheerleaders with no spirit. All the dorms should be bright and clean not dirty and green like a jail cell. The food should be healthy, delicious and full of varieties. Not fried chicken, baked chicken, chicken strips, barbeque chicken, cheese steaks, sandwiches, chicken cheese steaks, cheese burgers, french fries etc. Cheyney is a good school. I love it and I am proud to say I am studying at Cheyney to be a teacher. Because Cheyney is known for its teacher preparation program.
